International Festivals in New Hampshire

According to data from the American Community Survey, the number of foreign-born residents in New Hampshire has steadily surged over the past two decades. In 2000, the state counted approximately 31,000 foreign-born residents, a figure that soared to over 86,000 by 2019. This influx, growing from 2.5% in 2000 to 6.4% in 2019, has made significant contributions to New Hampshire's economy, spanning various sectors, including healthcare, education, technology, and the burgeoning realm of small businesses. The immigrant and New American population of New Hampshire undeniably plays a pivotal role in shaping both its cultural landscape and its economic prosperity.

  • New England BIPOC Fest (September, Vida Cantina, Portsmouth, NH): This festival celebrates the diversity and contributions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities in New England. Featuring music, dance, art, food, and more, it offers a platform to experience the vibrant cultures of these communities.   • Concord Multicultural Festival (September, Keech Park, Concord, NH): One of the state's prominent international festivals, it brings together thousands of community members and over 70 vendors from diverse cultural backgrounds.
